love your pictorials, that water is so clear. is that kelp in the water in one shot? if so did you observe any sea otters? thanks dennis

Yes buddy it's Bull Kelp, we didn't see any otters today but there is definitely a healthy otter population all along this coastline !

Awesome pics Pit, I absolutely love going over to the island, the scenery and atmosphere is just amazing.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else think Maisy looks like she's waving and saying hi in the last picture in the first post?
 
I might have to make a run out that way. I am planning a trip up to bellingham wa. soon. I'm sure I might be able to continue on.
 
I saw a trail of about 12-15 otters swimming in a row last year - about twilight - thought the loch ness monster was on holiday in the salish sea :D:D Paddled after them a bit, when I drifted round the corner of a jetty there they all were, you know, frolicking :)
