I know that often people wonder what Strider's model names mean and that answers are never forthcoming, but i think i really know what SnG stands for.

I can picture Mick standing around the shop with a few of the other Strider guys and saying something like: "Guys, just for Sh*ts n Giggles, lets make a framelock folder with half of the handle Ti, and half G10, and we'll call it, ummmmmm, SnG!" See, when we see SnG, the "n" is lower case, indicating it stands for "and", like cookies n cream or bread n butter. So, am I right? What do I win? :)

Mick,

Do you ever tell your clients what the initials stand for?

I mean, I'd pay a few bucks for a charity raffle to figure out what stuff means. Hey, my church makes a few grand every year with weirder stuff than this.

Besides, I would have named the knife SnP.

"Sneak n' Peek."

(Day two for the EDC carry of my SnG. I still haven't cut anything! Various parts of my body are turning blue.)

HUH!?!
On second though, maybe I don't want to know.;)

The way I look at the name thing is that it adds mystery to the knife. Besides, who cares what it's called. All you have to say to someone is "it's a Strider" and watch em' drool. That's all that's necessary.

Gary,
I see that you are new here. I believe the Strider Guys like to keep the naming designation to themselves. I hope you own a SnG as it is a great little knife.
Thank you,
Peter

Well i certainly never meant for my post to encourage the resident troll to reappear, sorry about that. :(

Mick,

If that is a true story and you named a knife after them, more power to you. Thanks for taking the time to care.

Man, you do show restraint in dealing with our 'children.'
