Well, you be the judge :p. I think the photos speaks for themselves ;). Each one is unique in its own special way :).

Now if I could just get my hands on a matching (fill in the blank) to go with the other two :D.

Hint --> for the (fill in the blank). It has nothing to do with the knives, and everything to do with the "accessory" :cool:.

Can you guys tell me if the first and or second version pivots are tension adjustable.
 
It's not too often I see a pic of a Southard backspacer on here, I was wondering who else has one.
I have mine on an old pivot Zaan with the matching jimping, I tried it out on a Star Tac but it just didn't look right with the Starburst pattern or the Sebenza style jimping it had; now if I could only find one for my old pivot Tanto Zaan I'd be really happy.

Some may say it isn't necessary on the knife, and it really isn't, but, to them I say that there's no way you've handled a Zaan that's had one then- it REALLY improves the feel of the knife, at least I think so😋

I almost forgot, that's a GREAT COLLECTION of Umnumzaan's, thanks for sharing. I'm down to the pair of old pivot's, harpoon and tanto, don't think I'll be letting either of them go-should've never sold the other 3😬
 
^^^^^ Thanks for the compliments! Also, I agree about the added robust feel once the backspacer is installed. It's something you have to experience first-hand to "understand". :) ;)

I am glad. Had that one for a LONG time. When I go back home later this year, if I find the box and tools, I will send them to you. Have no idea when I will be heading out though. I have stuff spread out all over the place.....lol. She does bite, so be careful....lol.

Sounds like a plan, buddy! If indeed you locate the box/tools....... it would make this my first Umnumzaan to have said items. All my Umnumzaans were purchased second-hand, and always for the "knife only".

After 5 years of looking I finally found a backspacer and fitted it to my Large Micarta 21 with the polished blade, the first type of Sebenza I owned and one of my alltime favorites. It was a major P.I.A. but its in there for good now and looks like it was meant to be. Sure, I had to buy the knife that it was currently on that I had zero interest in and was grossly over priced, buts that's half the fun, :).

Believe it or not, I posted a CAD pic of them about 6 months ago. Nobody caught it!

Here is the pic...I just need to get some time to make a few prototypes.

 
Nice set you have there. The Old Pivot / Logo LBS combo is quite a rare animal.
