I have an addiction. My addiction is with Strider Knives. I just can't stop buying them. I just bought another SnG today. Plus, I have other goodies on preorder. Do I need help?

Hey, Man,
this isn't alcholholics anonymous.
If you're going to brag about your striders,
at lease post some pictures.
Duh.

Hey NRG,
I have a solution for you that should be pretty effective. Whenever you have the "urge" to buy a new Strider, take one from your collection and mail it to me. This will cause negative reinforcement and since you won't have your Striders around, you'll most likely forget about them all together. I'll keep my eye on my mailman waiting for that SNG.
Matt

Striders aren't all that...
they're nice and I own a few, but for me, they're too expensive to take into the field...

There's nothing wrong with your desires... I'm that way with Ek #5's. As long as you're paying your bills and taking care of you and yours, there's no reason to not get what you want. In the end, they're one of the few knives that keep most of their value when you liquidate.

The best part is that they'll out live Striders (see Cliff Stamp's webpage) and there's really only one model to buy, so once you've got it, you're done.

When I'm ready to sell my Strider, I know who to email first for a private showing. Hey, if we're going to be addicted, how about becoming a sexaholic instead?

Ummm, I beg to differ. They are made to take into the field. Period. Plus if you need a refurb after some hard use, send it in to the shop. Trust me, they come back better than ever.

Cliff Stamp, wasn't that the guy who smashed his BT into a million pieces and sent it back to the shop. I think he's also the guy who got a nice branding under his cord.

NRG,

there is nothign wrong with having a hobby, and yours is a safe and enjoyable one! I like Striders too, though I only own a Buck/Strider for now. I am a tomahawk/axe/hatchet nut, and my collection of one (ATC Vietnam Tactical) will grow and grow. Heh, I liek knives so much that I started making them to learn more about them!

Enjoy your Striders!

Right on Tom! This is one problem money CAN solve. The Forum is good therapy though , in the mean time.
Like Walking Man said, post pictures. You can't get better without pictures.
