;)

I'd like to see your Spyderco folder collection storage options seeing as mine is getting to a point of requiring something more substantial and secure.
Need some ideas, what have you got? With a Spyderco bias preferably.

I'll be watching this thread as I have the same problem!
I'd love to find some type of safe and secure way to store my Spydercos, while keeping them on display.

Thats a really nice collection.

Thank you. I've got some more of the new Spyderco's I want to add then I think I'll start collecting some vintage grails I've had my eye on.

Bill's custom cases might be an option.

Those look nice.
I think I'm going to pick up a machinists chest and do some customizing. Not really a display but more secure.

I tried shadow boxes and having them hanging in them all pretty but it necessitates a specific spot hanging in the shadow box for each knife, and sicne making the shadow boxes I haved added some 4 knives (the past 4 or 5 months), and I don't think I like it. I rotate too many in and out of EDC regularly, and with a small-medium folder in the back left pocket and a medium-large in the front right, they see lots of use. i basically just want a table I can lay them all out on in a row and choose from them every morning or whenever I want, yet also be able to look at them easily.

I will get a picture later, but I went all function with mine. I confiscated a drawer in the kitchen for "my stuff." I bought a thin cutting board and cut it up to make dividers, and have it setup to hold ~20 knives. The rest of the drawer was already divided up with wood pieces and I put lots of stuff in there. My wife only goes in there to use a knife, which I actually like it when she does, and find it interesting to see which one she uses. I can always tell because I arrange them all a certain way and she always puts them back wrong. I can find no rhyme or reason to her selection, totally random:confused: My sister was over last week and used a knife, and I think she chose the smallest non-threatening looking one. It was a Meerkat and when I came back later it was in the window seal still opened:D For transporting I use my business bag, and can bring about ten. It has two pockets that are about the perfect depth and I clip them in the pocket. Enough variety for any trip.

Some more good ideas, thank you.
Looking forward to some pictures.

Currently I'm bidding on a nice wooden machinists chest that will do the trick I think. Plenty of storage for knives, parts and related tools. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm trying to keep my collection to 30 knives, so I bought the large Spyderpac..
But it has been only 2 months of purchase's, so I'll see if I can resist on buying more ...

I have children in the house and I decide to keep them under lock and key in my Snap-on tool box for longer term storage..

Nice!
I attempted keeping my collection at a manageable level but the temptation is too great, or maybe I'm too weak... Whatever the case may be I just can't part with any of my Spydies. I tried once, even made up a list, but in the end I'm going to need more storage. :o

Very nice collections guys! Really digging that pimped Chokwe Barman1.

I like it as well but got bumped by the Putman Delica. If you look closely there is another Chokwe still in the plastic for a backup. Great knife!

Here is my confiscated kitchen drawer. I have a few more spots and some non Spyderco's can be kicked out to make room :D

Great idea with the dividers nccole I was wondering how you had that set up.

I lost the auction on the vintage chest at the last second. I think it went for close to 500 maybe. Too rich for what it was.
For security sake I picked up another large Spyderpac so I can keep everything in my safe. I did a Spydie head count and am pushing $6k right now.
I didn't think my habit was that much out of control!

I have an old electronics repair kit case that I'm going to convert to a knife collection box.

It's about 20x15x10.

Thinking of putting pouches in the lid (maybe 15-18 in the lid? not sure). Then I think I can probably fit 2-3 divider boxes that can hold maybe another 12-15 knives each.

Slap on a coat of black paint, paint trim in silver, and put a Spyderco logo decal on the top. It has a lock, handle and strap already.
