This past month I bought a Waved Sryperco Endura 4, a Ritter Minigrip M2 blade,a SAK and have a Spyderco Manix in the mail.I have an order in with Brian Goode for a Companion and I feel the need to get more Bark Rivers. To make matters worse Swamprat is coming out with new knives and I'm starting to get the itch for a Busse. What is wrong with me?Someone please help!

Your knife buying does seem a little low. Don't worry. There is nothing wrong with you and you don't need any help. You are just in a slump right now. It will pass and you will be back to acceptable knife buying levels in no time.

To the rest of the world, you look like a obsesive/compulsive maniac.

To us, you look fine.

Only problem is,
Choosing each days EDC knife or knives in my case.

WarRaven you are correct. It is getting harder and harder to figure out what to carry. But somehow I figure it out.I think that Im going to be allright.Hmm,now what should I get next?

When you start selling your productions to pay for your foray in the customs market, like I am, is when you should start worrying. I only buy what I'll use.

There is nothing wrong with you!! Pish posh that thought!! You ARE a knife knut, plain and simple. 'Nuff said!!

Get married and have kids - That will cut your spending down.....well on knives at least.

As long as you still have money for food what is the problem I ask?

What wire eddge said. It's not a problem until your knife spending starts squandering away your food, rent, mortgage, baby formula/diaper money. Until then, enjoy!

I was hoping at first that if i got the right one, it would be my do all.

Only problem is, i love all that i own so far.I dont have many, but it is enough to cause headaches. So i can not simply choose one to EDC.

I had to break it down into classes, to help. then each knife that i get is categorized into the closest class.(Silly i know, but it helps me from winding up leaving the house with 3 dressy type knives and wanting to hack something and i cant because of what i brought.)

My classes. These are the 3 types i EDC.(not including keychain knife)
1.One simply scary sharp fine cutter.(must be in great shape, and kept near perfect)
2.One fairly robust to tackle less then perfect media.(sharp, but not polished)
3.One for the really bad stuff, things that may damage the edge or blade itself.(Kept sharp, blade appearance does not matter anymore, and if lost or destroyed, can be replaced.)

Only condition that falls on each is, their kept clean.

Ahh, im crazy, and this proves it lol.

I have a friend who was so broke that he lived on ramen for 3 months straight. And it wasn't even because he was overspending on himself. He moved out of state for some girl to some really small town where there were no jobs. About three months in the girl left him because he wouldn't convert to her 'religion' and came back home. I still laugh and think about that whenever someone mentions ramen.

But I think I am becoming a knife addicit myself. In the past I bought a few spyderco's, a Sirupati Kukri from Nepal, a Moki knife from Japan, and a few other odd blades. Then I got married, had kids and have no money. I just recently spent $300 on a William Henry Titan Monarch (spending twice as much as I wanted to on a knife at this time), and when I was researching (with you guys' help) I came across a dozen other knives that I find myself so desperately needing (how did I live before without them?).

Stop me before I buy again!
