So I think I need some help, since I found Becker knives I initially bought a bk11, then scales for it, then a eskabar, then a bk15, and I recently pulled the trigger and got another bk11/14. I'm not even quite sure what my reasoning was, I'm pretty sure it was to have a backup "just in case" :D

And I even have a bk16 saber grind on the way, I'm sure everyone here has dealt with this problem , Becker acquisition syndrome ? I need some sound advice before this gets out of hand

Just give in to it, and be thankful the catalog is relatively small.... ;)

Seriously, if its not causing you any financial hardship, enjoy the collection.

Of course I might not be the best one to counsel you, my hobby is collecting hobbies.

if the beckers are making you feel guilty you can send them too me i'll hold onto them till such a time as you can bear too take them back!

I must admit its addicting...I practically would only need the 14 but I bought most of the large beckers anyway. By the way, where'd you get the saber 16 from? I forgot about mine after they wanted 80 bucks to ship it here.

I found it while searching a known auction site , it was priced to sell , and a very accommodating seller who was a standup guy charging me only cost price for shipping . There are a couple more listings on the site ,

Thankfully it's not causing me any financial hardships but it may cause me some problems with my significant other, she doesn't seem to understand why I need so many , guess I should stop giving her stick about her handbags and shoes.

The reason you can't stop is that you don't have a full-size one yet.

(let's see if he falls for that)

Yeah, like Daizee said, plus you are missing a 16, and a 17, and a 2, 7, and 9 as well.

I myself am a secret Beckerhead. I do find myself buying them because of "different applications." That is what I tell my wife. I also use that excuse as to why I have so many guns. I already have a 16 which I love, but the 17.........well....you know. I should get that one too soon.

The best way I have found to ease the heartache for more steel is to get out there and use the knives you already have. Go spend a night in the woods, get a fire going, catch, clean and cook a trout. Work on your skills while relaxing by the fire. Let the expierience take over.

That is all,

Jeremy

I know the feeling all too well.... I actually just bought a Saber ground BK-11... It's being shipped to me.

Don't go to any Beckerheads Anonymous meeting, it's a trick. They have pictures of Beckers posted on the walls, and they have pass arounds of all the new stuff. They have someone waiting to take your order by credit card at the meetings. By the time you leave you will be in a cold sweat. ;)
