I'm not sure though guys what do you think of the caly 3 in general? And what do you think of the super blue sprint run version?

If you want it, you may want to jump on it soon. I have a Caly 3 CF ZDP-189, and it is a very nice smaller knife. Don't know about Super Blue, I think I am going to pick up the Delica in Super Blue later.

Yeah I think I'm gonna snag one up it is priced more decently than most Spyderco sprint runs.

The Caly 3.5 super blue is one of my absolute favorites, so I have Caly 3 super blue on preorder.... can't wait.

The Caly is one of the best designed folders ever made IMO. As much as I love my CF ZDP-189 Caly 3 & 3.5, and I'm a big fan of ZDP-189 and carbon fiber, the Super Blue 3 & 3.5 are my favorite versions. I'm not crazy about the gray color of the G10 and it shows dirt easily which was annoying at first, but then I came to realize that is just part of the beauty of the Super Blue version. Where the CF ZDP is elegant and functional and might make you cringe the first time a scratch appears on the 420J outer laminate, the Super Blue version just begs to be used and get dirty. The patina that will quickly form on the blade is in harmony with that theme. Performance wise it is amazing as the Hitachi Aogami steel has a certain bite to it, unlike most other premium steels. Get one and you will not regret it.

I love my 3.5, and have a blue 3 on the way. The 3.5 carries deep, and by employing some kind of Spyderco magic its blade almost seems bigger than the scales in which it resides. So I am looking forward to the arrival of the Caly 3 superblue in my mailbox.

And I love the look of Mr. PanChango's 3.5 here. Thats how a knife is supposed to look.

That's an awesome patina I'd like to have one on my Caly 3.

Thank you Sir Noodle.

Thanks. There is no need to force a patina, all you need to do is use it. It will change daily with use.

That 3.5 has been my primary knife for about 15 months.

Just have to go against the flow here... I don't like non-stainless steel. I had a SB Caly 3.5 and I did not like the acid taste it imparted to my sliced apples (and yes, it already had a full-on patina).
