I am so close to becoming a coveted Beckerhead and I went into the sign up thread to read the guidelines and make sure I was doing everything right. Then BOOM! No more Beckerhead's for a month. Noooooo, what am I gonna do for a whole month? Haha oh well at least I know it will be worth the wait. I'm sure I will appreciate it that much more too.

WHAT! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I was so close to having everything I need! Whhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????????????

At least you know you will qualify when the time comes :) And its probably cuz of the beckerhead offerings that are going on right now. Just keep posting, and do your thing :)

Yes the weather here is getting nice so I will have to put my 2 & 7 to some good use. Oh and yea probably puck up a 16 or 17 along the way. Yep most definitely will be doing some mods and trying to come up with some new stuff

I just got the news from moose the other day trying to sign myself up. What a let down....

Too many new guys? That kinda makes me feel not welcome.

I don't think it's so much that that there's too many new guys (we love new people!), but they are doing the 30 days of Becker right now and giving lots of stuff away so they don't want a whole bunch of people joining and getting numbers just to hopefully get some stuff out of the thread, then abandoning their numbers once they have either won something/nothing and moved on.

This!, It's common practice to close the let's roll thread thread during special purchases and huge giveaways.

That totally makes sense. I'm looking forward to the day I can join the ranks. Plus I will feel like I earned it.

Trust me, there will be more perks and giveaways in the future, just part of the give and take of this awesome community.

Speaking of give and take, back to thinking about what I wanna do for my 1000 post GAW...

It's crazy that all I really want is that number and to be able to call myself a Beckerhead and be a legit part of this crazy bunch. I mean of course it would be cool to win some stuff but me personally that's not what I was shooting for.

I know what you mean. For me one of the coolest Becker things to get so far has been my BH number, I was really stoked to get mine. Hang around and in no time you'll barely remember when you weren't a BH.

To expand on it: When we had the limited edition BK10LE's come out just for Beckerheads, we were flooded with people trying to become Beckerheads. And what resulted from that were 1000 threads of zero substance. Example:

THREAD TITLE: Becker BK9
POST BODY: I really want one! What do you think about it?

OR

THREAD TITLE: Ideas
POST BODY: Ethan should come out with a sword!

Basically the forum was filled with one-line threads so people could get their post count up. Now with this new thing, AND having 5X as many new people in the forum as there were when THAT offer was out, its a good idea to slow it down. At least, thats my guess.

That is lame. New Beckerheads should be welcome, not discouraged. I thought the idea was to spread the word, and spread the love for Beckers, get new people involved, etc. I am probably not that close myself, not sure, haven't checked lately, & I post a bit, but I haven't started many threads, but I was looking forward to one day getting a BH#, as I am a huge fan & own may Beckers. Now, I'm honestly a little put off. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just think it kinda sends the wrong message.

Please don't cry. Those frowns will be turned upside down in just a little while. :) Mr. Moose will touch your forehead with his Beckerhead Maker and you will open your eyes to a strange and wonderful new world. Now dry those tears and have happy thoughts for a couple of weeks!
