My first spyderco knife was a d2 foliage green para. Thats when I fell in love with spyderco knives. I just recently purchased a FG D2 Military. First of all, I am a foliage green junky, and second, I am obsessed with the military, paramilitary line. I thought it would be worthwhile to bite the bullet and purchase one of these hard to find knives. Let me tell you I am extremely impressed. Perfectly centered, buttery smooth action, and has the tightest most perfect lockup i've found in a liner lock. It's like spyderco spent extra time on this one. I can't find any flaw in this knife. I will post pics sometime when I get the chance. I'm wondering If I should carry it, because I already have a few other millies to do the job. I just love this knife so much. Are there any other D2 lovers out there? Pics?

No pics, but I've got two D2 Millies myself that I'm quite fond of.

Spydercos work for me, so they're pretty much all I carry now. :D

Jesse, you have one of the best all time millies. IMO, it rates up there with the BG42 and S90V models. If it was mine I'd use it. I doubt it will gain in value in the long run over what they sell for now, of course I could be wrong.

Still, I'd use it if it were mine. You know how good that CPM D2 is from your CPM D2 Paramillie. I don't believe it will ever be made any more. Enjoy it. Even used, but in good shape it won't lose all that much value as compared to some collectors spydercos.

Ya I'm pretty sure I'll use it. IMO D2 is one of those steels that are dying to be used, not collecting dust.

My first spyderco was the same, a D2 para. I love the FG G10 as well, I think black handles are overdone, and FG gives that "military/GI" look, but is less busy/tacticool than digi camo. My GF says the green handles make the knife less "scary".

I also want to step it up to a Military, but I'm dying to try some S30V, just wish I could get it with some FG handles.

Just an incredible knife. My D2 Para has stayed sharp beyond any other knife I have ever owned (102). It looks, feels and performs perfect for me. I use it for everything from cutting boxes, chopping down weeds to slicing in the kitchen. I wanted my clip to match the rest so I stripped it.

Nice pic of the para! I just decided to carry my D2 millie today so I stripped my clip on it. It doesn't look quite as good as yours but it sure does give it character!

your clip came out good.

I tried sanding mine, and didn't like the way it came out. I was able to snag an OEM polished clip on ebay, and it looks great.

I want to get the old one bead-blasted, I think that would look best on this knife.

One of my D2 Millies not only got the clip polished, but I also removed the back spacer. It's fantastic, now!
