Rainwalker, how do you like the top Guard? I am thinking of getting one more RMD, but I don't know if I should get the RMDxLE instead...does it feel the as good? The RMD really does melt in my hand....
 
I'll have to spend more time with it, but so far the top guard feels fine. The overall finish on the blade is so smooth compared to the CG RMD. Combine that with a slightly thinner blade and it just feels great!:thumbup:
 
I'm surprised by the thickness...make that thinness. The RMD is 3/16" no?

Not a complaint by any stretch...you know it will be plenty touch and looks nice and slicey...maybe thin is in!

sigh...don't know if I picked the right time to downsize my knife collection... ;) :)

I've seen a lot of comments about the thickness of the blade. I wondered what happened to the "approx 3/16" from the specs Eric posted. How close are the other measurements? Just curious; looks awesome and can't wait to get mine....should be here in a couple days.:D

.15 isn't all that unusual compared to the CG RMD. The CG RMD is .18 (3/16) give or take a digit.

That's just a 32nd of an inch difference...
