I think I'm in LOVE!

I recently bought a Microtech Socom Elite and it got here today... This thing is absolutely awesome! It is perfectly crafted! I am just amazed at the quality. I have owned other Microtechs, but this one is my favorite. I took it over to a friend's house and he loved it too (and he JUST bought an MT Scarab!).

I have one question for those in the know... This one has the Anopeen blade finish. I have never heard of a Socom Elite with that type of blade. Is it rare or something? If it makes a difference, the knife is plain edge with the clip point.

I don't know if it's rare, but it sounds like my SE, blade pattern and finish. I got one about the same time I got my first Sebenza, and I liked the flatground MT blade better.

Altho' I don't have an MT, I was scouting around for one and did some research. You may have in your hands a SE with a pre-production grind - I don't think the regular SE was issued in an anopeen finish. It looks nicer than the regular grind because of it's dagger like bevels but the production grind cuts better. Here's a link -

Antdog, I agree.. I carry an MT beater everyday. Probably the best production folders I have ever seen...
