I have seen several pictures of Bob Dozier knives over the years but never got the "spark" needed to search them out and investigate. Well, it finally happend. I went to there web site and saw hundreds of dollars just slipping throught my fingers.

I love small, concealable fixed blade. Among the many nice knives available, this little reverse tanto caught my eye:

It can be used with this very cool, concealable, kydex sheath:

What a sweet setup. Because of the blade length, it's also legal to conceal in my state (3.5") so it's even better. And there are may other combinations that can be put together, of course.

That's why I think I'm in trouble, if you get my drift. But since I am, am I at least going down the path of quality knives? Any big Dozier fans out there? Ever had any problem with the product or the service?

Regards and thanks for any input.

LOTS of us.

I don't think that's possible. Both the people and the knives are as close to perfect as you'll find.

If you ever get a chance to deal with them in person, say, at a knife show, be sure to do so. They are a pleasure to talk to, and you'll get to handle a nice variety of their knives.

Bring money. :D

Dozier may make good knives, but they are too plain, they need something new...they look like kitchen knives...

You obviously haven't seen or handled the full range of them. I've got a Canoe, Model 6, and Wilderness Knife. Three very different designs, blade geometry, and sheaths. D2 by Dozier, that's about all they have in common. And that's not even counting the folders.

Bob Dozier's knives are among the finest. They are among the sharpest, strongest, and best looking. The workmanship put into Bob's knives is of the highest order.

Plain in this PC world is not bad for a knife. If you are going to carry a fixed blade you might better carry one that is neutral and not too exotic.
A Bod Dosier knife will not attrackt too much negative attention, while a Dork Ops FB knife will scream "weapon" to everyone around.
And it does everything you want from it, from a "tactical" vieuwpoint, and doesn't raise suspicion if you cut your steak with it in your favorite restaurant.
