This is pretty exciting, seeing these new styles of knives by new/returning kamis... JK, Stick Knife, R-series
I think it's also a really great step for HI from a business point of view, since most people on Bladeforums think HI is only for people who like bent knives. I think a few well-placed reviews (eg, in the Knife Reviews section of BF instead of here) of the R-series knives and the Munk Cleaver, etc. might spread the HI Knife Virus (HIKnV). We can work on infecting them with full HIKV later.
Not saying HI should switch focuses, just that we should try to take advantage of the broader appeal of the new designs. I think some nice pics of the R7 or other R-series in the Gallery might do some good, too.
Of course, this is just me blowing some hot air since I don't have the money to buy one of the new models and do some reviewing on my own, but I thought I'd throw this idea out here and see if anybody liked it.
