As a newbie to this whole universe of "real" knives, I've done a ton of research toward purchasing my first quality knives for EDC and toss-into-my-toolbox-and-forget-until-I-need-it. I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to a drop point Mini Grip, or a Leek, or maybe a Junkyard Dog II, oh, a black Blur in S30V looks cool, wait, those Mcusta basic series look really killer too. A Buck Alpha Hunter folder w/ rosewood would be sweet. Or how about a SOG Twitch XL? Wait a sec, that ZT 0200 looks bad-ass.
I know, I'll get a Spyderco D'Allara2........Son of a bitch, why did I bother to come here anyway? Oh well. Now, where's that old piggy bank?
 
Just wait until you figure out that $200 for an EDC pocket knife is reasonable because then you are on the road to customs and perdition.:D
 
Yes indeed, just wait until the custom knife bug bites you!! It bites hard, and there is NO cure!!! Just open up your wallet NOW, and wave buh-bye to your money.
