I think Jeremy Wade packs a CRK

I just watched a rerun of Rivermonsters on Animal Planet. It was the episode called "Death Ray" about giant freshwater stingrays in Thailand. Wade had a reel that he was planning to attach himself to by harness and said if his reel got jammed he could be pulled in because these creatures are so strong. His remedy was a knife so he could cut the line in such an event. He whipped it out and it looked like a Sebenza to me. The knife was only visible for a few seconds and he didn't mention the brand or anything. Did anyone else see this episode and think the same thing?

I really like that show but haven't seen that particular episode.
I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

Jeremy Wade is a well known biologist, writer, TV presenter and a "pro" hard core fisherman in the
UK. He must at least have a few nice knives, I don't see a Sebenza being out of the question. :)

I have this episode recorded....let me grab some screen caps.

I wonder if he ever fillets up some of those giant catfish for A fish fry...I know I would.

I noticed that too. It was a serrated model and it was on a retention lanyard.

I tried to grab some screen shots but I had the quality setting waaaaaaaay too low and the screen shots are crap. I can say what he pulls out of his pocket is not a CRK knife. The knife in the vid is a liner lock. :)

Best I could get off the crappy vid.

If I had to go through customs as much as Jeremy Wade I don't think I'd bring my best knife either.

Kind of looks like a gerber to me. A buddy had me sharpen his and while it looked like that it had a button lock on it. Handle looks very similar though. I think CRK users are a rare (and exceptional) breed.
