I think Rick should run the lottery the same way as he is now but, sell the tickets for $10 or $20 dollers then give the money raised to a charity. I don't think he would have any trouble selling all the tickets. I know i would spend the money to get a chance to buy one of his knives at m.s.r.p. if i knew the money was going to charity.

Just my thoughts.

I believe there may be a legal issue or two if one tries to hold a lottery with money involved. This is why states have lotteries and business cannot. Rule makers get to do things people they rule cannot.

Not a bad idea, but knowing the deep and true feelings this company has towards those in need, I am confident they do a lot of charity in many forms at all times.

Not trying to be an @$$*&*&* but I believe Rick should run his business any way he sees fit. Nor do I understand why anyone would even feel compelled to give another man unsolicited advice about how he should run his business. Especially one as successfull as Hinderer.

Just my .02 bits. YMMV. . .

As if N2K had the gift of "pre-cog", the story told of "Passing it Forward" as told by Hhski exemplifies Rick and Robs true character of Giving and Charity....inspirational - must have been something to see that young man's face.

and BpGreen, well said

Thanks Rubi but to be honest, I found the OP's post incredibly presumptous. Not only is he making unsolicited suggestions as to how the man should conduct his business, but he then went on to tell him what he should do with the profits.

Charity is a wonderful thing; but how, when, where and how much a person gives is a deeply personal matter and no one else's business!

Again, just my opinion, but I stick by it.

Agreed. The Op didn't strike me as preachy, just making a suggestion. Of course folks have a right to their opinions.

Ok, guys calm down it was a half baked idea and was posted when i was half asleep. When i read it the next day i mostly agreed with bpgreen and would have deleted the post if i could have. So calm down i won't post any more thoughts, ideas, or opinions as clearly an internet forum is no place for such things.
