I think the para 2 has ruined me

I have always been a fan of spyderco...it started with using a few of there products with H1 in salt water environments/fishing, nothing beats them...

As far as EDC knives go I of course love my customs and mid techs (price points 350-600) you better love them for that money.

Now move to the 100-200 price point folders, I have been using the CTS version para as my edc lately (bought it used at under 200)...at the same time have ordered other well respected production brand folders and gotten them in the mail (I also already own a few).....here is where the ruining comes into play....when I unbox these now and start to fondle them I pull the para out to compare :-( as far as design/ergos go....I am not impressed with others...I used to be happy and excited to get new blades, lately it seems I'm just let down, thanks sal :eek:

The para 2 is that good. Try the Southard if you haven't already, it's my new favorite

I know exactly what you mean. These damn knives will spoil you rotten :(
 
I have bought more Spyderco's in the past 12 months than any other brand, and I have more of them still on my wish list than any other brand. And it all started with me reading the praises for the Paramilitary 2 and then I bought one to try out on my own.

(And now I'm Spydernation #0011.)
 
I catch myself thinking the same thing. My problem is that I like my other brands and mid-techs as well, but I'll forget about them for long enough time-periods that I consider selling them (and have on occasion). Then I just end up buying them back but at the end of the day...

90% of the time a Para-2 is in my pocket.
 
I was the same way...I.used to carry my zt301 all the time. Now, the zt is in its box and either the native, pm2 or tenacious is in my pocket...once a spyder bites you...
 
I definitely know what that is like...I have been bitten by the PM2 bug myself :)

The Para 2 is going to be my next up. Though I'm not sure if it can kick the Delica 4 FFG out of my pocket. :)
 
Dude, just do what I do, carry the Para 2 as well as another knife. I have the same problem. I can't take it out of my rotation so I just carry more than one knife. Been using the Para 2 and the ZT 0561 for about a month now. I just don't want to change
 
I can relate. However, it wasn't the Para 2 that ruined me. It was the Chaparral. And now the Caly 3. Spyderco pretty much ruined me in general. The only knife that isn't a Spyderco that I'm in love with is a CRK Large Sebenza.

Other than that, Spyderco has me ruined. I just don't really love any other knives. It's horrible lol.

But oh well, that just means Spyderco gets more of my money. =]
 
My yellow H1 Ladybug arrived today. Went on my keychain. Soon I'll have to do an update to my Luxury EDC video. With the incoming Caly CF/damascus of course. I know Bladechick can relate :)

^^ How do you like the Ladybug? I owned one once. I want to get another and put it on my keys. The purple one preferred. However I like the look of the Jester better.

That Caly will ruin you. I promise lol.
 
From the way everyone raves about it, I might start having to keep an eye out for a Para.
 
I really enjoy my Para2
I can't say it has ruined other knives for me but it has definitely set a bar for what I like in a knife
 
Im pleased to read this as I have my first Spyderco showing up to my door soon.

Yes, it is a Paramilitary 2! Camo/satin. Ive watched every PM2 video on youtube and im unbelievably anxious for its arrival :)
I saw one show up on Amazon a few days ago for $140 (I know, higher than MSRP) and my eys lit up.
Been looking forever before that.
