I think there is a time problem ...

I have my profile timezone setting as GMT +10 hours which is correct for where I am.

On the bottom of some of the forum pages there is a line that says something like: "All times are GMT +10 the time is 5:30pm"

The problem is, the time it states, (for example 5:30pm), is actually 1 hour later than what the real time here is.

There is a miscalculation going on somewhere, or have I missed something?

What major city are you in, or which one is the closest to you?

The forum clock is right for the area that I live in.

The nearest city to me would be Canberra, near the east coast of Australia. Definitely GMT +10 and no, we're not on daylight saving yet.

BTW, just in case you were going to ask, my PC clock is correct, regularly updated from a military timeserver.

This, BTW, is not a big deal, I just thought it a bit curious.

I dunno. Of course you can lie to the server and tell it you're in daylight savings time, or in a different time zone, whatever it takes to convince it to give you the right time on posts, but no doubt you've already thought of that. We are left with the inscrutability of computers....

As one of our famous bushrangers said, just before they hung him:
"Such is life!"
