I think this is worse than an "End of Days" knife.

....like an orchestra 4 different items have been brought together to make a symphony and now the buyer faces the music..hardly a fortune spent for the experience gained...the buyers next purchase may be better researched because of it...and rise like a morning star just like that sheath.....havnt we all gone through this process in varying degrees?..Good spotting mate...Hoo Roo;)

I see this alot. Mismatched boxes are becoming the new norm on ebay. I am watching two LB8's with mismatched boxes by the same seller. Really all the seller needs to do is swap 'em and they would be correct. He has a Schrade + LB8 matched with a sharp idea box and a signature series with a brown box. Now I know for a fact the signature series did not come in a brown box.

I was keepin an eye on this mis-match too. I know sheath is from "Morning Star" as Larry indicated but was unsure about that box. Which knife originally came in this box?

Well, I know for fact the signature series type blade LB8 knives came in the Sharp idea boxes. All brown box LB8's had just Schrade + LB8 USA stamped on the tang. I know this because I got a new LB8 from my father back in 1985 that came in a brown box long befor the signed uncle Henry's came out. I am not sure when this change occurred but I believe it to be during the late 80's or early 90's. But I am not an expert either. Who knows today what end of days mix ups are out there.

It has been pointed out on this forum and the Camillus one that most of the Craftsman knives were made by Camillus. I have several Craftsman 5" lock backs but do not have this number. The poor guy that bought this knife paid a premium price for a mixture of stuff.
