So I'm going through my site taking care of some daily maintenance and I come acrosss this small folder. Is it me or does it remind you of another knife by another maker?

Mighty Mini, Black Handle, ComboEdge by Fury

Those (and larger ones) are pretty common - probably the most common of Spyderco knockoffs there are. I think I got one like 10 years ago for $5 at Ace Hardware.

The little known truth is that Spyderco has been ripping off Fury designs for years. That's right, all those sleek blades, rugged looks and ergonomic black handles -- they're all designed by Fury. The only thing Spderco didn't rip-off was the proprietary keychain, which is the real brilliance in the design.

Yes, sir, the nasty little secret is now out. So the next time you use your Spyderco, you could be using the genuine article -- the one, the only...eh...what was the name of it, again?

what's going on here? I checked out the fury website and I searched for "spyderco knockoffs" and I couldn't find any. :grumpy: :D

want to see crappy knock offs, google "deal extreme" now there is a bunch of the worst collection of rip offs ever. they even knock off cheap knives.

waddya know?!
it's like as if, they've been selling factory seconds recycled from the OEMed Spyderco bins.

i was at work the other day and i saw a guy wearing what appeared to be a spyderco delica, I got all excited and was like SWEET another knife nut then i asked him and hes like idk? pulled it out and was that fury knife i felt like an idiot

I think that design is a little too generic to call it a copy. There are a lot of keychain lockbacks out there, and the handle is rather different than the ladybug with that generic one large indent compared to the ladybug's three.

I used to have the Fury delica knockoff, what a piece of trash. The plastic around the pivot screw cracked and the blade probably would have fallen out eventually.

I picked 1 up at a True Value and it was $.99. I beat the snot out of that little thing, but it is still kicking believe it or not.

You could always take the high road and NOT sell them?
