With so many great knives on the market.
The Para 2 is coming out, we've had the Ti Military (and a limited M-4 variant on the way), the Gayel Bradley, the Chokwe, the PPT, two large folders on the way (one of those being a company record for blade length in a folder), bushings are being introduced, the Endura switches to FFG. I could go on.

And it's not just Spyderco either, it seems that a few other companies are really hitting it out of the park recently.

This is all to say, it's a good time to be a knife nut.

My wallet sure doesn't like being a knifeknut. :D its always empty. Gets a refill then I find ANOTHER knife I just gotta have. :p

Rather than the pinnacle, I think this is just the beginning. Spyderco, Kershaw, Hinderer/ZT collabs, Carpenter Steel, Crucible's rise from the ashes. So many people thought Crucible was done when CTS came around, but there was a post that showed Crucible was just getting warmed up and sure enough, loads of CPM steels - S90V, D2, M4, etc. It is indeed a great time to be a knife enthusiast.
I think we need to continue to voice our preferences in design, materials, and steel to knifemakers and things will continue on this upsweep for a long time to come.

I've been out of the loop for a couple months and haven't been paying attention to forums, new releases, etc. What's going on with Crucible and what new knives have been or will be released using S90V, D2, and M4 (and possibly others)?

A few months back, there were some discussions that Crucible was in financial trouble and were being puchased by another company. It turns out Crucible is still Crucible and they ramped up production and have basically restocked most every popular steel they carried.

Not sure how much Crucible steel Spyderco will use in theri new products, but I imagine they will continue to use in the Mlitary and other staple knives.

Word brotha! Its a great time to be an knife afi. Is seems that every time I get online I find another knife I'd like to have.

I fully agree with you on that point JJ, CRK and the two newest Sebbie designs come to mind

I am looking forward to a Carpenter steel of one sort or another in the Millie to join the collection :D hopefully sooner than later.n From the new mule team posts i have read it would be cool to get a Japanese steel in the Military's as well
