I think we should have a "show your collection" thread.

So I made one :D

Rev up the cameras, find your knives, and post some pictures!

Here are my EDC knives. I added the 34OT today, but I know I`ll carry this one. Very nice knife.

Here are my USA made knives that I don`t carry anymore.

And here are my overseas made knives. The quality of the RR Barlow rivals 3- 4 times more expensive knives. I was positively suprised by this one.

My traditional fixed blades ( which I use more than my ESEE-3). The one with the red handle was my very first knife. I got it from my grandmother who was a very avid outdoorswomen.
All of these are made right here in Norway.

And I forgot the last one. Richartz electricians knife.

Lovely knives all Vanguard, but that Case Regular jack to the right of the peanut, wow!

There are so many show yer knife/collection threads out there, IMHO probably should've piggybacked/merged this with one of the many others, nice collection anyway.
Personally I've tried to photograph my collection many times, just never seems to happen, I always get sidetracked somehow. ;).

Folks, lets remember to show pictures of Traditional knives here in the Traditional Forum.

Come on, Roland, we want to see your whole collection in one photo!

Maybe you could spread 'em out on your roof and have NASA take a picture from one of their satellites. :D

Hasn't found a lot of pocket time but it's seen a few apples and such. Those small Texas tooth picks sure seem swell as well. Maybe one day.

I'll ask the question. What qualifies as a traditional knife?

HI Charlie,
Not to worry, we get this question occasionally.

Right above the <post new thread> button is a quickie definition:
Forum: Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades
Discussion of classic Hunters, Trappers, Lockbacks, Slipjoints, Skinners and other classic designs

To this I would add that, if it is a folding knife, there is an expectation that it have a nail nick or be pinched open. One hand openers are a new fangled thing and with rare exceptions do not qualify as traditionals.

Thanks for the question. You are completely welcome to pull up a chair and hang out with us. But, the topic will be traditional knives.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we were talking "collections".

I have more of an "accumulation" than a "collection". "Collection" implies organization and purpose, whereas I just like pocket knives and like to try different designs. The closest thing I can show is a bunch of stockman knives. I LIKE stockman knives.

I'm with you Frank, I also have an accunulation with sub collections, over 300+, it's kinda hard to get a family photo. ;)
