I thought Busse's were Nuclear tough ??? (bent ASH content)

Hi Everybody,

Well it had to happen I guess, Mr. "beats Busse's" finally bent a knife.

Art & I were working in the shop today on the Fabulous sheath & thought we would test out one of my ASH knives.

***Let me preface this with that Art & I have been doing a little strength training so we may be abnormally strong ***

The vise was in the shop & the lighting was better outside so we decided to forgo the vise in a bend test.

We did use a heavy leather glove for protection from the edge.

I am really at a loss with this lack of performance from a blade I thought was " nuclear tough " :grumpy:

THAT is a kydex blade sandwiched between two ASH handles. Nice try, Dave. :thumbup:

Pretty good replica, though. I bet there's a little market for stuff like that from people who want to train with a knife the same size/shape as one they might have to use in a fight or operation.

All right,

I guess you guys got me, I actually made this about two weeks ago.

It is ABS not kydex though.

The tube fasteners were a major PITA, but I had a friend of mine (CNC machinist) make me some custom tubing flares (more on them later) because I could not find any that would work.

Here are a couple of reveal pics. These show "the Edge"
