I thought I liked the Izula, but....

I just got micarta for it and now I love this thing.
I generally carry it just dropped in my front pocket and without the scales it's nice and thin but the micarta doesn't add so much to make it bulky. I have 3 of them and only got one set of handles so I still have the best of both worlds.
I never liked cord wrap but I didn't think the micarta would make that much of a difference. It really seems to though.

Thanks for a great knife and the ability to modify the grip.

are the scales hollowed?

No they aren't hollowed. Actually there's a little piece on each side that fits nicely into the cutout on the handle. Probably so the handle can't slide around.

I have an Izula ith the scales fits in the pocket great and is now my EDC. Ive retired the folder.
