I tightened all the screws on my Sizzle and it won't open...

I tightened all the body screws on the knife since the one holding the liner in was about to come off. I loosened up the pivot and it still seized. Had to loosen them all up, otherwise, the pivot would have been insanely loose. Any thoughts?

Apply some blue Loc-Tite to your screws and adjust them to the point where your action is ideal. Then put it down and allow the Loc-Tite to set up for a day. The Loc-Tite will keep your screws from backing out but won't bond them permanently in case you need to disassemble your knife in the future. Hopefully this will solve your problem. :)

Yes, but should the screws be tightened all the way or was it designed so that the screws are a bit loose? The screw that actually has an effect on the action is the stop pin. That screw HAS to be kept loose. ::shrug

Adjust the screws just tight enough to give the knife its best action, and make sure you don't leave gaps around the scales or spacers. The Loc-Tite will prevent the screws from being "loose" while still allowing you to leave them less than fully tight. Hope I'm making sense here.

Thanks! I just don't like the idea of a loosened knife. The only screws left looser than fully tight is the pivot and the stop pin. The rear of the knife is tight. I hope I didn't cause a taper in the handles

With some knives that have screwed-in stop pins, I get good results by completely loosening the pivot pin, then screwing in one side of the stop pin to a normal tightness, then screwing the other side in just until I start feeling resistance from the handle scales (as opposed to resistance from gunk in the threads). Use Loc-tite to hold the screw in place, and then tighten the pivot as necessary. In screw-in setups the stop pin itself is generally a touch too small to act as a proper spacer, so you have no choice but to do a balancing act.

It sound slike a problem with the tolerences. I have not owned one. I do have a dominator though. With mass produced folders, the oppurtunity to pay close attention in production is not there like it should be, so you will end up with a knife that may have some "quirks".

Try loosening them up enough for it to work, without it being a danger to yourself, take note, and redo it and use medium (blue) loctite and let it set over night.
