I think I saw a post on what would be two good Busse knives to take Fishing/Camping? My BAD and BWM CF worked out Great!!!! Cleaned Trout with the BAD and made Walking Sticks with the BWM CF. We camped at 11,000 feet. This was July 22-26 and there is still snow up there, but it was pretty warm...Anyway, enjoy a few pics!!!

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, brown trout (maybe dark Rainbow?) are tricky, do you fly fish?

Nice! What is that chest rig your wearing? Nice Kifaru setup!

That would be a Rainbow, but I thought it was a Brown at first. I do flyfish, but all the trout on this trip was caught using spinning gear with a Gold Jake's Spinner.

I love that Kifaru Scout, but there was not enough room to carry all my crap I usually tend to carry with me. I just sold it and am moving up to a Kifaru Navigator. I think the Kifaru line is like the Busse line, Tough as Hell!!!! The chest rig is a FishPond fishing vest with pack on the back. It is a one-piece setup!!

I carried the BWM mainly to slash incoming Grizzly Bears, but I did have a Smith & Wesson to back it up!!!

That Rainbow was 16.5", the largest I caught this year. Last year we caught some 18" trout!!!

Nice! Thanks for sharing, I like how you tried to keep your 6 shooter out of the attention! Where'd you carry your firearm?

On my Kifaru setup, there is a strap that you tighten up on the side to suck the load up against your back. I threaded the strap through my holster and the pistol rode just below my left armpit for a crossdraw. Thank God I never had to draw down on a Grizzly, I cannot say that for a couple other people just a couple weeks before we were there!!!!

maybe your bear bells saved you lol. that is how we ID tourist in alaska. nothing against you just a joke to us up here. nice knifes and fish.

Nice pics but man you do carry some gear. A bigger pack  JK a man's got to be prepared nice rig you've got there. And thanks for the great pics and i'm glad the bears left you alone. Nice trout too, oh the high country its just so beautiful is'nt it.
