I Took a Good Look at my Sebenza 21 Insingo

I always thought that the Insingo blade shape was fully curved from heel to tip.
However, upon close inspection of mine, the blade flattens out somewhat just before the tip.
I thought I was crazy or got a weirdly ground one so I looked at about a million pix of the Insingo blade online. Most have some bit of flattening towards the tip.
Think this was a conscious decision on CRK's part, or that it's just difficult to grind a fully curved blade all the way to the tip. If conscious decision, what purpose does this flattening out serve?
Wow, learn something new every day!

Yeah, I,ve seen this as well. Actually looks a bit wonky, but it works.

Good question there..

From CRK:
"Everything looks factory. I had our grinding team look at the picture as well and they confirmed that this is how they should look. As for why the profile is this way Chris was trying to optimize this blade to be an excellent slicer."Sebenza.jpeg
