...Here's hoping that I was able to put it all to good use. I went back in and focused on that transition from the blade into the plunge and tried to accomplish a nice, smooth and balanced transition. Overall I'm pleased with the results. I obviously have more practice and time behind the grinder needed, but this was a step for me. That transition has been a difficult one for me to learn.

More pointers, tips, or criticism is welcome.

Thank you,

If that's your first time grinding you did outstanding. Even if it's not your first it looks great. Nice work.

Really nice. As we talked about previously; small adjustments can make a big difference.

Fred, I appreciate you a lot. You've given me some great advise and I'm doing my best to apply them. This is from this afternoon. Not the cleanest, but the plunge has come a long way. I haven't done anything with regard to cleaning the spine of anything to this point. I was mainly working on cleaning up the previous grind I had done and fixing the transition at the plunge. If you see something else I should be doing, or something I'm doing that is obviously wrong, don't hold back.

Here is one I just finished cleaning up. I still have a lot of work to do cleaning it up but I think the initial grind and plunge is complete. My 2X42 belts are pretty much shot, so I can't really go any finer until I order some more belts. I took this one up high. Is the transition into the plunge looking any better? Suggestions?
