...to carry one of my Militaries instead of an Emerson. I lasted two weeks before the 7V went back into my pocket. I like all of my Spyderco knives just fine, but I just felt naked without an Emerson. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
Yes, I know how you feel. I don't leave home without at least 1 Emerson, or more. I like my Millie's too...but at most, they will have to serve as wing men to various Emerson's!
 
Al- I bounce back and forth.
At the moment, it's my D2 Para, thank you. ;) As much as I love the chisel ground CQC7, the "overall" design of the Military wins me over the most. Reasons: The Hole, light weight, thin profile and the knife feels as good in my hand as the Emerson.
 
I have an early Military in 440V that I carried for years with a CQC 7 in my other pocket. I only really stopped carrying it because I found out how rare the 440V's became. I currently have a Roadhouse in one pocket with my OBS(Order of the Black Shamrock) folder in the other. I've been carrying the new Emerson designed EDC1 a lot also, it might not be made by Emerson but it's a tank of a knife.
 
Just retired my cqc 15 for a roadhouse after 7 years, before that my cqc 7 was with me for many years. I have other quality knives, but the emerson line is what i rely on and is on my person 24/7.
Recently somehow i lost the thumbstud on my cqc 15 { odd thing was the screw was in my pocket } Called Emerson and asked if i could come by and buy a new one since they are 5 miles from my house, They said sure. went in, and they installed a new thumbstud free of charge and told me to have a nice day.
I have a Strider smf, i really like the knife, it is built like a tank, but i still prefer the Emerson for my EDC.

Yes, Al -- happens to me too. I start carrying my Millie, Bradley, or Manix 2 and then I just end up with one of my Emersons, ususally my 7 because it's sheople-friendly. In fact, for the past couple weeks I've been trying to figure out why?? I REALLY like my Spydies but I keep going back to my Emersons.
 
Yep happened to me too. I picked up a ti millitary and it lasted 7 days in my pocket and I went back to my cqc7. Then I traded the military for a infidel, it lasted 7 days also and went back to my cqc15. I gave all time favorite knife zt 551 two weeks and then I bough a roadhouse. Im out of town for up to 6 months starting yesterday and I brought two knives with me, umnumzaan and roadhouse, guess which one is in the backpack and which is in my pocket lol.

I know have my SnG in my pocket. At least I have consistency with my rotation; CQC7, SnG or Para Military.

Yep! Its still new so of course im completly in love with it but time will tell. You got a great edc rotation there.
 
Well, I am in slip-joint mode at the moment, which means that I can carry a 'slippy' and my 7V. Best of both worlds and I still love my Spyderco lineup. ;)
