Picked up a mini grip and now I get why people like Benchmade so much. This is their cheapest (or one of their cheapest) folder and the quality is great. I've heard some complaints about the QC lately but I guess I got lucky. Centered blade, lock works great, super sharp, no blade play and smooth action. The only thing I noticed is the grinds are a bit uneven. One side is higher than the other but it is almost not noticeable. Now I want a 950, one of the new 531's and I would love to get a 730 but that will take some saving. definitely impressed

I have only purchased about 10 Benchmade knives but poor qc has not been my experience at all. I hope you will enjoy your new Grip -and the others to come :thumbup::thumbup:
 
You picked a great one to start with. The Mini Grip is one of my absolute favorites, and one of the very few knives I can never see myself not having at least one...
 
That is hilarious. I was watching that same auction and almost bid on it. I missed the end up though. I was looking for a used mini I could get a hold of. $46.87 was a good price. I was a little upset I didn't bid on it. It looked like it was in great shape and too. Congrats. I'll keep looking. I have a feeling I'm gonna be getting another.
