MY subscription was up for renewal so I went ahead and upgraded myself to Knifemaker status. I feel a little guilty as I'm only a hobby maker and have't exactly been prolific, but I can see that within the next few months I'll have some stuff I'll want to try and sell, so I pulled the trigger. Is there a peer review comittee I should have approached first?

Here's a picture of my most recent projects including a couple still under construction. All but the black handled necker are 01 heat treated in my one brick forge. The black handled one is 6AL4V Ti.

I had hoped to finish the larger one with the finger grooves yesterday for a meet & greet today, but another knifemaker (Don Llewellyn) came ofer yesterday and we spent the whole evening talking tools and technique.

What do you guys think?

those are knives and if you made them I'd say your a knife maker.. :D

Now, how good a knife maker, remains to be seen

well they look pretty good to me, but then again what the he11 do i know i'm just a hobby maker too. but like michael said, you made em. and like mark said
wait a minute he's just mumbling senselessly :D

What they said, ( except for Mark cause I couldn't pronounce them words)...
I would guess that the majority of us on this forum could be be described as "Hobby" (though I prefer "Part time" makers. Those who do it full time, started out as "hobby makers".
So welcome aboard!
