And I probably still am, but the large plain 21 insingo I just got has been in my pocket the last few days. When I first saw this thing years ago I thought it fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Now I think she is gorgeous and most importantly: functional. Best cutter I’ve received right out of the box from CRK. Usually I re-profile immediately but I’m gonna maintain the factory edge on this one and see how I like it.

Longest name ever warning!!!
I love my Chris Reeve Left Handed Knife Art Insingo Sebenza 21. I went from rotating about 20 to only this for just over a year. It's not perfect, but it's the one for me. For now.. :)

I was the same way. Thought they were ugly as sin until I got my first one. Once I got it in hand and in person I instantly fell in love. The looks are not bad in person and I don’t pay them any attention anymore. I’ve grown to like the appearance. Great blade shape. Perfect for draw cuts

Surprisingly versatile, and I think the thinner blade edge really cuts better than the DP for all but super heavy duty cutting tasks. Took a little while to warm up to the appearance, but now she's a beaut!

It wasn't until I realized the tight tolerances and simplicity of CRK did they begin to become attractive. Never felt the plains were eye candy until then. Now, I think they're all sexy :p. Out of all the CRK's I've got, there's only one left handed Insingo 21. Most folks that have them are instantly smitten with the Insingo blade. I carry mine occasionally, but not that often. After reading this thread, next year it will see pocket time.

I went on a month-long camping trip recently and was forced to contend with what CRK folding knife I would take with me that would prove the most helpful. I have many great CRK users, but when push came to shove, my plain-Jane large Insingo 21 was what came along. You just cannot beat it’s utility.

The Sebenza is extremely nice, but i've owned 2 now and they just dont quite do it for me. I could justify keeping one if it were cheaper, but i really need to love a 450 dollar knife. Thats why my Umnumzaan is a life time keeper.

Well known I'm a Zaan man. Love my Uma. But it's my large 21 insingo I am having customized. And to be totally honest. It sees more pocket time. It's been gone for three days and I miss it. Gonna be a long three weeks without it. Good news is I'll have a few new CRK'S to keep me occupied while it's getting a new look for 2020. Really can't wait to see what Chip comes up with. I'm letting him have creative freedom outside of a few requests. Man is super talented. And it's gonna be sweet when she's back in my pocket for sure. Thanks for sharing brother.

I felt that way about the first 21 I owned. It had the standard blade shape. The insingo is different enough to keep me interested. The zaan is still my overall favorite but it’s fun to rotate between 2 very different CRK’s

I just had the exact same epiphany, but in the small size.

Took me years to get over the look of that thing, but the utility part got me at last and now I really love it!

I was a large regular guy then went to the large 21 insingo. My edc for years and one of the best utilitarian blade shapes. You did good
