I'm beginning to question just how much of a difference in smoothness different kinds of washers make. Every time I get a new, really smooth knife, I become convinced that kind of washer is the smoothest. Like my Mini Commander, when I first got it broken in I was all "wow, nylatron washers really are the smoothest after they break in!"... and then I got a hold of a Benchmade 425 Gravitator and then was all "nope, phosphor bronze washers are even smoother!". Finally, I got my Laconico Blast, which has teflon washers, and then jumped to teflon being the smoothest. However, each time I think one kind of washer is superior, I get a knife that is smoother with a different kind of washer. I think there's a lot of other factors that are much more important, as Nylatron, PB, and teflon all make for great washers.
