No. You can either keep the info you currently have, or we can delete your profile and you can reregister with a new name... we currently don't have the capability to change your username by any other method.

Again, no. You can either keep all of your current member info, including your number of posts, or we can delete your profile, and allow you to reregister with a new name, and you can start over again.
It's your choice, but those are the two options.

Why would you want to change your names did you just turn 78?
Seriously though I will never change my name. I post as automantic in nearly every forum I participate in. I can't tell you how many times people have misspelled my username.

They see the name, and I am usually chatting about automatic knives so they put 2 and 2 together and wind up with automatic.
To be honest my name is not one of a kind anymore! I was searching the web for it on Dogpile and while most of what I found had to do with used cars I also found this:
