I was farting around in year old threads and saw some beautiful slip joints with amazing scrims and figured I see what else BF members have to offer. So I wanna see any scrim knives and if there is a story behind how you found such a gorgeous one of a kind piece let us all know that as well. I wish I owned one to start it off but ill just have to settle for being th OP. thanks

those are gorgeous. I am really loving these and im going on a mission to find myself one (or more :D)

Wish I had a pic of it. Heck, I wish I still had it. I bought a Frost Cutlery (Made in Japan) slip joint called the "Coon Skinner" with white bone handles. It was a single bladed hunter pattern with scalloped thumb pull and a stainless blade about 3" long. I bought it one summer when I was 14 or 15 at "Silver Dollar City" by Branson Missouri with my own $25. That was a major purchase for me for a knife 23 + years ago.

It had a hand-scrimmed Bald Eagle in flight, and I thought it was beautiful. I carried that knife quite a bit and found myself having to re-ink it on occasion. I still remember setting it down a few years later in college, and accidentally leaving it there. I went back the next day, and it was gone.

Thanks for reminding me of an old friend.
