...but I can't have one. I know Kabar, Gerber, and a few other companies make comparable parangs. Can anyone recommend one? Basically, I want one as close to the BK1 as possible. Also, made in the USA.

Thoughts?

Where should I look?

you can find them on the exchange here...I sold one not too long ago....also rumors swirl that Kabar may bring it back...

but I wouldn't classify it as a parang though, sure its a chopper but not parang'ish...

yeah, i guess thats not the right word. but you get the idea.

also, i answered my own question.
Fox Knives Parang XL or something like that.

as you were.

Edit: Link removed. I thought it was okay because that was the manufacturer's website, but I'll play it safe. I like this forum and want to respect the rules.

You might want to look at the Condor line. They make quite a few inexpensive choppers.
Not made in USA, but not China either...

The BK1 and BK6 will be returning. Maybe sooner than you think.

Not a chance.

Hmmm, trying to decipher this. On the one hand, he says, "Not a chance". However, on the other hand, he left a smiley, that damn near contradicts his former statement. :D

Don't they have to deal with licensing rights for the RBK? As a chopper it's ok, as a fighting knife however whoo buddy I would take on a platoon of zombie cheerleaders with it no problem at all.
