I want a Busse

I am looking for a little help. I have several decent knives but would like to add a Busse to my collection. My problem is that I don't know which one fits my needs because there are so many models for sale on the forum and only a few have all of the specs. I am looking for a 7-9 inch blade that is around .25 inch thick. I am really not picky on the blade finish or the color of the scales (nothing too flashy though as I will be using the knife regularly at the hunting lease). Can someone please tell me what models may fit my criteria, or better yet if anyone has anything for sale that might be similar to this (preferably in new condition) please let me know. Thanks in advance for everyones help.

Taken to email.

didn't realize where I was. FSH is a good all around knife. Has many variations that would fit most needs.

Volk, email sent:thumbup:

I would suggest looking at the sticky link w/tons of info here
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=642240

I would then suggest

SFNO 7"
Sarsqautch
FSH 8"
Sar 8 is one of my favorite all arounders
Its 10" but see Busse combat and look at BWm for high $300's

I really like the FSH's. I have both a flat ground and a saber ground Heavy Heart that make great all rounders.

Welcome to the board red99cobra.

Sounds like the SFNO or ASH-1 might be the knife your looking for.

NMSFNO isn't bad either. Wait......a......"bad"......Busse. I'm going to hell, just

committed blasphemy. Anyway, try bussecollector.com, they have a lot Busses there

plus the specs. And Lunde has A LOT of Busse pics on his site, you can get a feel for

what you like.

If I have said it once, I have said it 100x. I love my NMSFNO! The hand shaped grips are awsome! Blade is almost as wide as the Tracker.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum!

Rob there is a tiny ding next to the talon hole, send it here, I will dispose of this unsightly knife for you.

I forgot to say this earlier, you're going to want more (A LOT MORE) than just one

Busse. It always starts with one. Then another. Then another. Then about ten more.

Busse knives are a hell of a drug.

The FSH and the NMSFNO have almost identical 8" blades. The FSH comes in a variety of thicknesses, while the NMSFNO is 0.22". They have different handles. But the NMSFNO will only cost ~$350 for a user, a little more for new; while any flavor FSH is likely to be over $400. (although this is a great time to buy a Heavy Heart FSH, lowest resale prices in years ~$500).

SARSquatch is a nice 7", can be had for a little over $300, but thinner than you want at 0.187" .

The 10" BWM on the Busse Combat site right now is a great value. It will probably come off sale soon, and then resale prices will go up.

SAR-8, slim and thin 8''
HOGFSH, thick and long 8''---monster knife
NMSFNO, overall great knife---8''
Desert Storm Terror Monkey, similar in size and shape to the SAR-8 but more of a fighting style 8''

Bush wacker mistress 10+ (thin machete like)
Fusion Battle Mistress-10''
Fat Fusion Battle MIstress---fat version of Battle Mistress above---10''

An't that the truth.I bought 1 about a year and a half now i own 20 and jonesing for more .I think i may need a INFI rehab,But that would make me a quitter ,,No Quitters here,,OH WELL whos got my next Busse??? I'll find you :D

For some reason I am enamored with the SAR 5. I think it would go nicely with the NMSFNO.

True, rehab is for quitters.;)

Another vote for the NMSFNO based on what you are looking for - on top of that, if I could only own one Busse, it'd be it...
