My blades,Family and sale items.

More knives than you can shake a stick at...Well you could shake a stick at all of em,but yer hand would be REALLY tired.

It could be done, presumably as a special order, but bone is not a traditional material for khukuri handles, presumably because it is not nearly as strong or durable as either buffalo horn or wood. Some HI khukuris (special and expensive) have been made with handles from the antlers of a certain deer, but antler and bone are not the same thing, either.

The $50-$80 price is not all that likely for a special order. You're not likely to find a bone-handled khukuri just waiting for you to snap it up for a song.

E.D.,
Paul has accurately summarized most of the problems with your vision. In addition, the hollow cross section of bone makes it unsuited for chiruwa/panna butta scales, which are usually wood, less frequently horn. Since the scales have to lie flush against the full-width tang, you would have to fill the curved hollow with something, or the bone would quickly fall apart on impact. You could rehandle a chiruwa khukuri with ivory Micarta, but that gets well out of the desired price range.

I think your price is a little too low to be realistic for a custom knife as well. That said, the easiest way to do it would be to order the basic knife you want. Start shopping around here for suitable handle material. Once you have everything together mail it all off to Terry in Claremore. That would work.
