Soooo.... My tigershark has now become a competitive throwing knife.... I need a new -szed fixed blade that wont break the bank. It dosn't need to be a super steel just something that will hold a fine edge.... maybe aus-8 or something... I was looking into Boker b2k but I think i want it a tad bigger... any suggestions? P.s. I do a lot of outdoors stuff. I want something that I will be able to abuse over and over again....

What kind of outdoors knife abuse do you have in mind? You looking for a big ol' chopper to bash on trees with? If that's the case I really wouldn't concern myself with holding a fine edge, and I'd gop with something like 5160 instead of AUS-8.

Now if you want a slicer with a fine edge in AUS-8, there's the AG Russell Deer Hunter in AUS-8...that ones a heck of a deal. There's also the Kershaw Bear Hunter...also priced to go. Not AUS-8...8CR13MOV. Neither is gonna stand up to a bunch of abuse, but slicers really don't have to.

if you were looking at the becker bk-2 have a good look at the bk-7 or bk-9.
I have all three and the 7 and 9 are more functional at 3/16 and are tough as hell. Really good slicers with the high sabre grind

The bk-9 is my favourite it really is more like a functional combat/heavy use butcher knife.
Won't break your budget at around 100$, can't think of a more functional big knife for the money except maybe a kabar large bowie which is another tough cheap but largely unsung knife.
