I want a SAK with a large blade and a saw only!

I want a SAK with a large blade and a saw only, and nothing else. Okay I would settle for two blades and a saw but that's it.

Unfortunately there is no such SAK (though I don't understand why). Anyone know of another quality pocket knife with a blade and a saw only? I like the Boker 4021 a lot but it's really as little large for pocket carry, atleast compared to a SAK.

Watch ebay for a Schrade model that is a regular Trapper, with a saw instead of a "spey" blade. It's called the "Buzzsaw Trapper", there are several on Ebay, here is a link to one.

Beretta also make one. AUS8, made in Japan. It feels like it costs, but its very good performance for the money. IIRC its called the Fieldlight

Keep your eyes on ebay....I've seen older alox Victorinox models that are a single blade and woodsaw...they are out there...

What about a German Army surplus folder? Victoronix made them for a bit, they might fit your needs. Traditional German folding hunters by Boker, Weldmannsheil, Puma, etc..... work also.

hmm, the link dosn't seem to get you all the way there. The model is the Woodsman Double Lockback #BSA068. (in the Boy Scout knife section.)

The Victorinox Hunter has a large locking blade, a saw, a little serrated sheepsfoot blade and a combined can opener/cap lifter.

Nice... I never heard of the Alox. I will be keeping my eyes pealed for one. The Shrade also fits the bill but IMHO I have found SAKs to be better quality than Shrade in the past. That's just based on knives I have owned, YMMV.

Go to www.sosakonline.com and use the SAK selector or drop a line to Tim or Rich. Those two guys can get you any SAK at a great price and are very nice people to deal with. :thumbup:
