All-in-all it was a fun way to spend the evening and I am looking forward to finishing up!

Hopefully you were careful with the dremmel not to heat it up.

Did you find that the stripper made the scales look whiter?

Yea it was getting warm fast, that's why it took so darn long.

Maybe just a tad lighter after they were dry, nothing that I care about though.

I am thinking of taking the handles off because I can't get next to the talon hole very well, though I don't know how to do that :( I would like to get a more uniformed polish though.

I used a 120 grit sand wheel, a 240 grit, then a white buff wheel while I was tapping it into some green compound from time to time. I noticed that the polish was turning black pretty rapidly so I had to slow the dremel down a bit.

I might get some paper and a buff wheel for the grinder to finish it off because I can still see plenty of groves from the original grind.

damn, and they thought I was strange for chopping through a chain... ;) you took a dremel to INFI... wow, that's crazy talk.

Man! I wish the stripper I got took it off like that! I had to scrub for an hour! Great job!
