It's really cool that Benchmade is coming out with some knives that feature titanium but if I'm not mistaken all of them are frame locks. I'd like to see a production model with full titanium handles and an axis lock.

I'm with ya.. I'd love to see Ti used on regular production axis models.. It's my all-time favorite handle material. The added heft makes a huge difference on some knives (e.g., 531) and you can work whatever finish you like onto the scales (DLC, acid-stonewash, anodized, blasted, etc.).

Unfortunately for our wallets, titanium is BKC's go-to handle material for Gold's.. They don't come cheap either, even when you find a good deal.

A Ti Axis would be nice. Unfortunately for me, BM tends to be overpriced on such things. I am afraid it would cost the downpayment on a house.

And for clarification I mean a Blue Class TI Folder with the Axis. The framelocks are reasonably priced...this could be done. :)

My first choice would be a Blue class 943 with bead blasted Ti scales but seeing the 940 is Benchmade's favourite child in that series I guess it won't happen.

So my Ritter mini Grip in Wilkins Ti pants will just have to tide me over.

Don't we all. I regularly consider putting Wilkins Ti scales on a mini-Ritter Grip, but I'd love one that was available without voiding the warranty.

Not production, but is a Ti axis folder. I'm pretty sure it's the only Ti Rift out there. At least that I've seen.

Scales made by Ripps Garage tech. They add a solid ounce and a half to the knife. It was quite smooth with the stock scales, but with these it is absolutely the smoothest knife I've ever owned or handled.

That is one of the prettiest examples of a Rift I've ever seen. Those scales are stellar. Can we get a few more photos from different angles PLEASE?

These are the pics Steve sent me. I don't have any other pics that I've taken of it I think. Let me know if you want any other angles or pics with other knives.

Thanks, more than adequate~! Last question: do you plan on using a pocket clip or pouch?

Pocket clip.
When I sent it off it had the BM deep carry clip on it. It didn't really sit right in the pocket with it because of the extra weight. I went back to the split arrow clip that came with it. It's a little tighter in the pocket and distributes the weight better.

Excuse the sharpie on the blade, i've been meaning to sharpen it.

And with some Benchmade buddies, they were feeling left out. The 915 is probably really bummed out. It's been in the car for who knows how long. No pics for you Triage.
