My Commander is the only true lefty i have and i'm yearning for another lefty knife.

By true lefty, i mean: Ambidextrous opening, liner/frame lock on right side, clip positioned for left pocket/tip up carry.

Please recommend any knives that you know meet this criteria. :o

Spyderco Delica, Endura, Manix, Caly 3, Chinook, D'Allara, Lava, Native and Poliwog.

Benchmade Rukus, Griptilian, Presidio and 710.

If you wanted an auto, then Dalton have a true left handed model. Although it's certanly not Cali friendly with the blade length.

:o Yeah, those are all great knives.

It's just that i really like the feeling of a knife made specially for lefties, with the lock on the opposite side, not spine or axis.

Though, if i can't find one, i'll most likely pick up a mini-Ritter. :o

benchmade 710 is symmetrical and fully ambidextrous, you can even mount the belt clip on either side.

Spyderco Compression locks seem to be good for both. I've read posts from both lefties and righties saying it felt best with the left hand. I think it works equally well, just different for both hands.

I don't know of any productions knives specially made for lefties though. Doesn't seem like a great business decision for mass production.

As far as production knives goes, CRK makes lefty Sebenza's. But, the original poster said that they did not want to spend that kind of money.

CRKT offered a left hand Mirage with zytel handes. Kershaw had left hand Mini Tasks and Random Tasks. Benchmade made left hand Mini and Large AFCK's, large and medium CQC7's and Strykers. Larry

The only knife that meets your criteria is the Sebenza or you need to go custom. Dedicated left hand liner/frame locks just aren't out there anymore. The fact is that is just doesn't make financial sense to make left hand knives. The market is too small. Believe me I've spent plenty of money on left hand folders and they aren't worth shit when you try to sell them. The knives may be of high quality but very few people want to pay for them. Bite the bullet and get the Sebbie. You may be able to find a custom makers that will make you something and it may be cheaper than the Seb but not by much. Your other option is to look for an older Benchmade AFCK left hand or a Kershaw Random Task left hand. Good luck.

I know kershaw made true lefthanded tasks. I have owned a left handed strider sng. Most left handed knive are a hot commodity. Custom lefties are the way to go.

Holy crap, that Ouparator is awesome. I want one.

How much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking?

STR would be the man to talk to about one. He is under the "Knife makers forums" shoot him an email. He is very easy to contact.

I use knives left-handed and my fave is a Spyderco Delica with the clip flipped. The hole is ambidexterous.
