I want a UKPK

Talk to me about this knife. I'm looking for something that's going to be a little more socially acceptable than either a Military or a Gayle Bradley, and the UKPK (dyed pink, purple or FRN-Stretch-blue) seems excellent. I'm currently stuck between the DP and the leaf blade. The drop-point blade on the Stretch was excellent for me, but I've never tried a leaf before; besides, it comes in orange.

UK knife laws are similar to Singapore's. I;ve been carrying a large locking folder for about a year now, but I've never run into a lawman-the UKPK is simply for a clear conscience.

It is simple Orange UKPK is the best. Orange is very friendly for NKP and leaf shape is the beauty.
I do not use my Orange UKPK, but I EDC my Caly3 for few years. I strongly prefer locking blades.

I like the UKPK an awful lot, and have every model released to date. Coming out in Blue FRN soon to your favorite dealer, so you might consider waiting if you aren't sure you want one because the FRN models, at least here in States, run about 1/3-2/5 the cost of G10 models. In all but SD roles, no lock needed IMHO. I like the looks of the leaf blade, but prefer the drop point or rescue for harder use.

I just got the UKPK Drop Point and it's already one of the top 3 knives I've ever bought.

Go for the Drop Point version. It's more rare. They are newer production, so you will get a UKPK with a smoother action and better clip. And it's less metal, so it's more compact in pocket and lighter!

Plus the blade shape is just flippin awesome. The tip is super acute and sharp, and the bellied blade is awesome for food prep.

Not to mention the FG color blends away in your pocket seamlessly, and yet the knife is still very NKP friendly with it's simple no nonsense looks, non-agressive blade shape, and no lock.

I'll be doing a review of the UKPK Drop Point in the near future.

UKPK is one knife I always come back to. The new drop point is nice but wouldn't push either style outta bed

check out my video review on my youtube channel:

it was a gift from spyderco at the minimeet held in amsterdam.

Great video. I can't wait to snag one of each color. ....Unfortunately, the addiction will probably dictate that I get one of each color AND blade style. Bah humbug. Did you manage to get a look at the para2 and the titanium UKPK? Those are hot as hell.

It has been on my list for too long. The orange ukpk is the one I favor. I will have to pick one up sometime. I have handled one and loved it just never got around to buying it :(

Was hoping the FRN one would come out while I was still in Europe but it sure is taking a long time. Back to the US in August, then it's Manix2 time.

Excellent, excellent little knife. Highly recommended. Mine is in the original black colour, which I think is the nicest, but those are a little more difficult to find these days. The orange one ain't bad though.

i had a green one for a few days. i liked that knife alot. aside from not having a lock, it was perfect imo. i just couldnt pass up the trade for a poliwog.
