Hey guys...

Does anyone know if a normal wallet-sized wallet or pouch in which I could put:

Money
IDs/cards etc.
and a SAK or individual tools (A small phillips driver, collapsible scissors)?

Preferably out of nylon.

I also want it to be organized, not a free-for all pouch. I wants individual pockets.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

The Mission Wallet is nice, but it needs to be a little bigger. If you fold up your bills, you can get them in its main compartment along with some business cards, but it will be a tight fit.

They have their Coin Pocket that shouls work well for you.
I like Eagle Creek products also. I have a couple of pouches similar to these, which they used to call the Get Out Pouch. I cut off the neck cord and sometimes carry it on my belt. It doesn't accomodate cylindrical stuff, but works well for the items that you described. If these new models are the same, they do have a couple of internal pockets.

Great minds think alike, tarsier. I have the same pouch and did the same thing.

You have several choices, most of them labelled Spec-Ops (see T.H.E. Wallet and T.H.E. Wallet Jr.) and Maxpedition (see PUG wallet and RAT wallet).

Esav,

Do you have any experience with the items you listed above? As you noted, a Mission Wallet is nice, but can be a tight fit. Do the T.H.E. (and Jr.) wallets allow you to carry a knife and pen? Will they fit in the pants without being too bulky? (Same questions for the Maxpedition products).

Thanks for your help,

Matthew

Unfortunatly , no. Well... if you had a really thin foldnig knife and a really slim short pen , I guess you could.
T.H.E. wallet is a great wallet , especially for the price and thier customer service is awesome , but it's not a pouch by any means.

I just picked up a new wallet earlier today, i suggest shopping around, alot. You'll find something you like. It took me forever but i found a nice black leather wallet with reddish brown hues, lots of card slots, nice thick leather stitching up the side and i can easily fit a SAK Secretary inside. I could probably fit some other small gadgets as well.

Shop around :p

Starfish, the only one I owned was a large T.H.E. Wallet. TOO big. I could have put a lot of stuff in it, but even empty it was a lump in my pocket.

Personally, none of these large wallets resonate with me any more. I carry in my left front pocket, and have pretty well settled on an odd object I found in my local pharmacy: a leather change purse.

It's the same concept as a Mission Wallet, but 3.5" x 5" with a zipper across the long edge, and a smller zipper about 1" down from that, forming a smaller pocket.

I keep bills folded in half and cards in the main compartment, and coins in the smaller one. It doesn't look like a wallet, to attract a pickpocket's attention, and no one sees what I've got for money or cards when I open it and fish them out.

The coin compartment even has a split ring on a leather loop for keys.

Meanwhile, I've got all kinds of regular wallets, from rayskin to a taxi wallet, and however often I take them out and think about using them, I go right back to this change purse.
