I want an AK-74.

I was thinking about where the "47" in "AK-47" comes from, and it occurred to me that it's probably related to the blade length. And sure enough, it's 47cm.

I like my AK-47, but I think it needs an AK-74 to keep it company. Is there any technical reason why we can't have one with a 74 cm / 29 inch blade and about 40 inches overall? Is INFI not up to the task of a longer sword? Is it just beyond Jerry's skill to make such a thing?
 
I believe the limit was due to either the length of the stock or the max length the equipment could handle.

I'm sure the Custom Shop could make a 40" for you. But it's gonna cost you a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. :D
 
was going to have a long one made but when the ak47 came out the 3k for the longer one seemed abit much...so I got two ak's instead, and a whole bunch more of other blades...

That's what I remember too. The machining center could just handle the length. Any longer would require all hand work.

We're finishing a sword in the custom shop right now that's 43 inches long with a 32 inch blade!!!. . . .Sick HOG!!!:thumbup:

Is that $100 an inch somehting that actually came from Busse, or is it just something someone made up off the top of his head?
 
Five years ago it was $100.00 U.S. per inch including handle.

With a Two year wait.

Might well cost more now.

Skunk, you Shore gots sum pretty Swords there, and a Fancy Nekid one too.
