One of the most perplexing things (besides the bladeplay) that I have observed about Sog is their lack of plain edged knives in the newer color configurations. The Flashback looks very promising. Maybe a little more conservative handle slabs can be designed for 2014?

This was primarily directed towards someone from Sog. I didn't realize that Sog doesn't interact with their customers in this forum. Only 12 posts in 2013?!
The unorthodox customer service practices in this particular industry is making it so much easier to control my knife addiction. Thanks Sog, Kershaw and Benchmade!
If there is a Mod out there feel free to close this thread. Thanks

Chris@SOG has been very good about responding to peoples issues.

Give him a chance, you posted on New Years Day,
He may be gone for a long weekend.

I had an issue last year, he was in touch and got it rectified quickly. Low key but he does a great job.

As far as "Customer Service" do you have a specific problem? Or are you just looking for a new product?
I tend to agree. I like plain edges as well. But then again I am not much of a folder guy.

As long as we are counting posts. This looks to be your first post here. Seems like you came in kind of rough for a first post.

Then again, if you were in a real rush you could actually go to SOG's website and look up their contact info and call or email them directly. It seems only fair to actually contact the company before you start bashing their customer service.

I'll save you the trouble, here is a link to their contact info page, but it's the weekend, so I'd wait until Monday.

I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion this was my first post to Sog. I think my first was in 2011. I do not have a specific problem. I just can't understand why I can't purchase a satin bladed, blue or camo PE knife in the value line and would like some feedback. I only been waiting for them to make these available for about 2-3 years. I believe the last time Chris posted on this site was in June 2013. Please correct me if I am mistaken. I went to their Facebook, fanboy-only site. I hope they actually read my post before they removed it.

My apologies, you are correct, you have posted approximately 9 times, my mistake.

As to the knife you are looking for. I can not help you with that. But you are not alone. It seems many companies do not build what I would like to see either.

Have you tried to PM Chris directly?

Maybe he has been terminated or moved on. I really don't know.

Perhaps a call or email to SOG is in order.

Apparantly you are right. No one from Sog seems to be here anymore. Again my apologies.

I dug around a bit and some guy named Ron Andersen is responding to some posts. He lists his title as Consumer Services Manager at Sog. I sent him an email asking what's up.

Here is the email I sent,

Ron,
Hello,

A few quick questions,
1. Is Chris gone?
2. Are you the new face of SOG on the forum?
3. If you are not, who is? And is he/she around?

Or have you guys abandoned this site in favor of Facebook?

Here is his contact info, his forum name is Ron Andersen,

But it doesn't look like he has posted here since 2010. Who knows Chris may have replaced him. I'm looking for work, maybe I could help them out!

Too bad, support is where it's at.

No offense taken.
They are very active on Facebook, lol. I left my comment on their Facebook page and someone deleted it that day. They have contracts with military stores and Walmart. I guess all they really need to survive is the newby market. I guess that is why Facebook is a higher priority than BF (ouch).
I used to think serrations were tacti-cool too, before I started actually using my knives.

Jeez,

I guess SOG's presence here really is dead. Sad,

Emails, PMs, no response., started out Supporting them. Just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now I wonder what happened. A note declaring they were gone would have been nice.

Too Bad, customer service is where it's at in my book too.

Does that mean this forum is left unmoderated?
