I want narrow, thin, and pointy

Had an Al Mar Falcon, and it was close, but I want something a little easier opening, and with a high wear resistant steel. The Spydie Jess Horn is ok, but I'm not in love with the hole, and would prefer a full flat or higher hollow grind. I need a pocket clip, as I want to wear this one while running (instead of the BM 530 that's going away). Doesn't need to be a SD blade, I just like having a knife handy, as all knuts do :p ~3" blade, handle material isn't critical, though this could be more of a gent's knife in appearance. Needs to lock. I might get the zdp leek, but it's a little thicker behind the edge, which I will probably have to reprofile right away according to most all the posts I've read about it.

Agree, the Kershaw Leek would appear to be a perfect solution for you. I carry mine when I am riding my bike, working at the lab, sitting around the house, eating out, at church, etc. It's one of the easiest knives that I own to carry.

What was wrong with the BM 530, may I ask?

Seems to fit your requirements well.

I think so too, I have 2 of them.

William Henry and Klotzli make some great slim and pointy knives, if you're into laying out the bucks

The Native serrated is very pointed but might not be slim enough, and of course it does have the hole.

For IWB carry, don't use the G-10 Leek because it is pretty rough. If I don't have pockets and want to carry my leek IWB, I carry either my ZDP leek, Random Leek, or Boron Leek (I finally got one!) If you have pockets, any Leek will be perfect! :)

I carry my Leek when I workout and I don't even know its there.

How about a BM 770 in D2. I may know of one that is available.

I clip to the pocket of my shorts. Also, there seem to be some polished G10/S30V Leeks still out there.

db, what handle on the 770, I'd like to find a CF if possible.

Hardheart,

At least one of the 770 series had a carbon fiber handle and if it weren't for the stupid righty-only clips, I could tell you from experience. Another similar choice would be Spyderco's Centofante 4 (wharncliff) or Benchmade's 921 Switchback or 941/943 clip point (that Warren Osborne guy designs and makes the knife you're mentioning in about a billion production and custom varieties).

Yeah, if the Opportunist came with a clip, I wouldn't even have started this thread.

I had a Buck Mayo TNT and it was a great folder to use while running. The ZDP/Ti Leek might be even better.

Hey Hardheart...

How about this ??

I think this might fit your requirements. Check out the Cold Steel Ti-Lite. Titanium handle and AUS-8A blade. A very cool looking knife. They have other colors and blade steels but the Titanium is the one I like.

Regards
