Hey there again, I am looking to get two striders together in a pic if that is possible. I know many people on here who have multiple striders, so maybe you can help me out. I am looking at getting the Strider SMF, but am very tossed between the Normal version and the CC version. I would like a picture of the two of them side by side to compare thickness.

I have not found much on the internet giving me the specs of the CC version, so a pic could work. I am mainly concerned about ergonomics and toughness between the two. How much tougher is the normal SMF over the thinner CC version? I like the looks of the CC version, but I need some reassurance because I dont have the opportunity to handle them, so I want to do as much research as I can to make the right choice for my online buy. Thanks for the help!

Just get the CC SMF

Yes it's just as strong and if you can break it Strider will take care of you for the cost of shipping. The CC rides much better in your pocket. And the clip does not catch on thicker waist bands (gym shorts.)

Take a look at the lock side of a reg SMF/SNG see were they cut into the Ti so the lockbar can be sprung? Now take a look at a CC SMF/SNG and the Ti is thinned out. Leaving that little shelf so small it does not catch on thicker waist bands gear whatever you clip your knife onto.

I will get you a pic to show that shelf area I'm talking about.

See where the clip will pinch on the cut out self area under the clip.
(give me a little time(maybe tomorrow) and I will edit this post with a pic here )

The Mick Strider custom Nightmare grind is a SMF the rest are SNGs :D

SMFs have three screws on the top of the handle SNGs have two. BTW great link :D

:p

Oh yeah, I forgot about the 3 screws on the SnG as opposed to the 4 screws on the SmF.
